The posture of discernment which characterized Mother Ignacia del Espiritu Santo lies at the very foundation of her spirituality of humble servanthood. Impelled by the charism that invited her to "remain in the service of the Divine Majesty," she was disposed to venture into mission beyond borders.
Prompted by the inspiration with which she concluded the Rules and Constitutions of 1726: "The service of God, our Father, whose greater honor and glory must be the motive of all our actions."
It was the same inspiration that she transmitted to her daughters to make them venture into ministries and missions to which there had been no precedence (S. Maria Rita Ferraris, RVM, 2012, In the Service of His Majesty).
